Satellite Check is a useful tool for navigation, utilizing the six navigation satellite constellations. It allows users to navigate both online and offline, providing various essential information such as coordinates, number of available satellites, atomic satellite time, satellite signal quality, satellite positions, and other satellite statistics.
The app also offers a feature called "satellite reports," which evaluates the accuracy and reliability of location information provided by your Android device. If the quality of the location data is deemed poor, the app provides a utility to improve both the time it takes to acquire an initial fix and the accuracy of your location reports.
In addition to its location and satellite reporting capabilities, Satellite Check can calculate various interesting figures for you. These include your altitude, distance to points of interest, physical addresses, sunrise and sunset times, moon phases, and much more. Additionally, the app employs your position and date to calculate the magnetic declination specific to your location. This allows the app's compasses to report deviation from true north rather than magnetic north. The compasses can be oriented along the true north-south axis or rotated to correspond with your heading.
The app's navigation package includes features like a waypoint logger and compatibility with different map types, compasses, and measuring tools. This makes it a valuable companion for maintaining orientation in even the most unfamiliar places.
Satellite Check also provides some newly added features:
- A day and night map with a sliding day-night terminator that indicates areas currently experiencing daylight or darkness.
- A satellite filter that allows users to identify navigation satellites by their country or countries of origin. The countries included are as follows:

- Galileo Satellites (European Space Agency)
- Beidou (China)
- QZSS (Japan)
- IRNSS (India)
